Dr Morris Wo is an Internal Medicine physician and Nephrologist with special interest in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. He manages multiple dialysis centres around Malaysia and practices out of Gleneagles Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Biography

Dr Morris Wo received his undergraduate and post graduate training in Singapore, and obtained his post-graduate degrees from the United Kingdom and USA. He is a practitioner of Internal Medicine and Nephrology with special interest in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Dr Wo was instrumental in setting up the Kidney Transplant Programme at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia where he was also a founding member of the Organ Sharing scheme. He is an International Council Member and Advisor to the Lupus Foundation of America since 2003 and currently serves as the President of Association of Private Kidney Care Providers in Malaysia.

Internationally, Dr Morris Wo was an avid contributor to several United Nations initiatives including Steering Committee for World Lupus Day, 2004, Sustainable Development Goals Summit in 2016, Vision for Sustainable Development in 2017 and Launch of Global Goals of United Nations 2030. For his contributions, he was honoured by the New York Academy of Sciences at their Bicentennial Meeting in 2017.

Dr Wo is a successful entrepreneur and he currently manages a chain of dialysis centres in the region. Being financial savvy, he also manages a Private Equity Fund and serves as an advisor to many internet start-ups. He is currently committed to the vision of bringing medical expertise and global quality medical care to developing countries like Cambodia.
